KEAN is attending the Final conference of the Programme
"NGO Fund in Romania"
KEAN has the honour of attending the Final conference of the Programme NGO Fund in Romania which is taking place today in Bucharest. The organizer of the event is the Civil Society Development Foundation, which constitutes the Romanian Operator of the NGO Fund, program under the EEA Grants 2009 – 2014.
The main purpose of the conference is to disseminate the achievements and impact of the Fund in the country as well as to underline the strengthening of bilateral relations with the EEA Grants donor states. The conference is divided in 3 parts and includes interactive presentations of best practices, speeches, bilateral workshops and plenary sessions, so that participants can have an in depth overview of the NGO Fund and the financed projects.
The overall objective of the Programme NGO Fund in program countries is to strengthen civil society development and increase its contribution to social justice, democracy and sustainable development. Thus, the NGO Fund contributes to the overall objectives of the European Economic Area Agreement to reduce economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area and to strengthen bilateral relations between 16 beneficiary states and the donor states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
