Summary
DIMAIN is a European Program, a joint venture consisting of a total of six European partner organizations, from four countries that aimed to promote social inclusion and ensure equal opportunities for all people in the workplace through proper information on multiculturalism and application of non-exclusive practices to companies and organizations. Diversity is achieved when a certain number of employees with a different background are part of an organization’s human resources, but the real bet is that all employees have an authentic sense of “belonging.” People should be encouraged to bring their unique ideas and practices to the workplace.
Undoubtedly, the benefits for organizations and society in general, which result from the acceptance of diversity, are unparalleled:
-corporate culture and corporate performance improve,
-access to talent increases and
-innovation finds fertile ground.
The results of the Project are summarized as follows:
-Enhancing awareness,
-information and communication through the Multicultural Statute / Diversity Charter. Companies that sign the Diversity Charter are publicly committed to implementing policies, strategies or measures to enhance work environments so that they are free from prejudice regarding employment, training and promotion of different groups.
-Creation and implementation of an Education Program for the Management of Multiculturalism and Integration. This training is an important tool for professional development, which extends beyond the conventional limits of formal training, offering a range of online activities, tools, practices and interactions.
-Creation and uninterrupted operation of an online Collaborative Platform that allows target groups and stakeholders to develop professional networks that implement multicultural management and practices, measures and / or integration policies.
At the moment, more than 150 companies and organizations in our country have signed the Diversity Charter (https://diversity-charter.gr/), incorporating in their daily operation practices of efficient integration of different employees, with multifaceted benefits.
